Dear Friends,
It is with incredible sadness that I write my last newsletter for Holy Trinity. The decision to apply for my new role as School Performance and Development Leader was incredibly difficult. I still wake each day excited to come to school and work with such a beautiful community of people.
When I first was discerning about applying for the principal role at Holy Trinity, a great friend and colleague directed me to a theologian priest at Boston University called Fr Michael Hines. He writes about asking yourself three key questions when discerning about a significant decision as follows:
- What gives you joy? What is the source of your joy? What keeps grabbing your interest, sparking your curiosity, and giving you energy?
- Is this something that taps into your talents and gifts— engages all of your abilities—and uses them in the fullest way possible?
- Is this role a genuine service to the people around me, to society at large?
Certainly, my time at Holy Trinity has given me nothing but joy- in essence, happiness is often a response to external stimuli, while joy is a more profound and enduring feeling that can be cultivated even when things are challenging. I have found immense joy in being part of such a wonderful community, with a shared purpose and a Christian love for one another.
The most significant aspect of my role as Principal of Holy Trinity has always been the students in our care- They are the centre of all aspects of my role as leader of Holy Trinity. I thank our parents and carers for valuing me and trusting in my work always being about giving our students the best opportunity to be the best they can be. The children have always been my greatest joy, the reason I have such incredibly high expectations, my strive for excellence, the challenge, and the reason we exist.
Being the Principal of Holy Trinity has been the biggest privilege and highlight of my vocation and career in Catholic education over the last 35 years. Thus, the decision to leave has been the hardest, however I know I leave the school in great hands under the leadership of Prue and our current Executive team, and our dedicated staff. I also know our community will continue to be the most inclusive, caring and engaged because of the great commitment and support you all daily give, often under the radar, without fuss or the need for public recognition- thank you for everything! Thank you for your enduring support, friendship and care of me over the last eight and a half years- this will be something I will never forget and always cherish.

Get Ready to Boogie at the School Disco!
The School Community Council is turning up the fun with an exciting School Disco for all students from ELC to Year 6! The disco is happening this Friday in the school hall.
The disco will be split into two sessions to ensure everyone gets their groove on:
- ELC to Year 2: 1:30pm – 2:00pm
- Year 3 to Year 6: 2:15pm – 3:00pm
Students are to come dressed in their sports uniform and are welcome to bring along some disco-themed accessories—think funky glasses, sparkly hats, colourful headbands or feather boas! Accessories can be put on just before the disco begins.
And the best part? DJ Feerick will be in the house, spinning the beats and keeping the energy high with a mix of kid-friendly hits and dance floor favourites. Every child will receive a Zooper Dooper!
Don’t forget your best moves—see you on the dance floor!
