Easing of COVID Restrictions at Holy Trinity

After speaking to staff , we are currently looking at all our Term 4 events and adjusting with the current easing of restrictions accordingly . However, as you can appreciate, there is much to consider and many people affected when making these decisions.  Staff are naturally concerned  around the movement in the holidays and that is why we have continued in weeks 1 and 2 to be conservative with our restrictions.  However from next week we will make the following changes:

  • Morning drop off and afternoon pick up will go back to usual procedure.  Parents can park and pick up children form the bitumen area between the kinder courtyard and the pencils.  We will continue with car pick up, but only in the car park area, not the front ring road. The ring road will only be used for parents to park and pick up if they are arriving after 9am and before 3:10pm (only if there is a specific need to pick up early).
  • Morning Assembly and notices will continue over the PA, once children settled in classrooms. Therefore, drop off areas for morning will continue- Kinder and Year 2 in courtyard and Year 1, 3 /4 and 5 /6 at black top.
  • Assemblies to remain parent free - staff will still record and send home. We know this has enabled families to share the assembly together and given more opportunity for parents committed at work to see the assembly.
  • Kinder orientation in Week 6 will go ahead with social distancing when dropping children off and picking them up;  however the parent meeting will be via Zoom at 5pm that afternoon-  more information will be sent home in a letter to families of Kinder students 2021 next week.
  • ELC orientation will occur in smaller groups throughout Week 4
  • Excursions are able to go ahead, with social distancing of adults.
  • Christmas Concert will be shared together via a video recording with each class performing something- more information to come!
  • PYP Exhibition format not decided yet, however we still occur in Week 7
  • End of year events will still have restrictions, however more information will come about these as the ACT gives next notification on the 6th of November.

We will continue to keep you informed as changes occur and I thank you again for your understanding and support.
