Welcome from our new Student and Family Counsellor at Holy Trinity School
Dear Parents/Carers
Welcome back to term 2!
My name is Prisca Chirigo. I am the new Student and Family Counsellor at Holy Trinity School, Provided by CatholicCare Canberra and Goulburn. Having worked with children and families for the past few years in various capacities, I am excited to be a part of the Holy Trinity community.
The role of a Counsellor in the school is to provide face to face counselling to support the emotional, mental and social well-being of students and their families.
- Using evidenced based interventions and solution focused approach, the Counsellor works with students individually and groups as per need. All support interventions are within the school setting.
- Work collaboratively with the school leadership, teachers, support teams, parents and carers and other agencies to support learning and wellbeing outcomes for students.
- Provide therapeutic, individual counselling on issues such as anxiety, bullying, friendship issues, loss and grief, social skills and parents' separation/divorce.
- Provide consultation to school staff regarding student's well-being and classroom issues
As you may have heard from the School this year CatholicCare counselling service has introduced online referral system for Parents/Carers to refer students for counselling by using the following link;

The counselling office is open Monday 9am-5pm
Every even Tuesday 9am-5pm
