Sacrament of Confirmation
This week, students in Year 6 received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation is the final sacrament of initiation, and once received, a person is considered an ‘adult’ in the eyes of the Church, which is to say, he or she has received in full the gifts of the Holy Spirit and is able to use the gifts in the service of others.
Thank you to our Year 6 teachers and to Monsignor John Woods, for their support and preparation of the children. I would also like to thank the parents for their support, particularly those parents who hosted other students and their families during the Home Group sessions.
Confirmation Retreat
Last Friday students in Year 6 from Holy Trinity, Saints Peter and Paul and local schools in the parish gathered for our Confirmation Retreat day. It was wonderful to celebrate our Confirmation Candidates and gather as a Parish community!
