In the privileged society which we live, despite record low unemployment and even with cost increased for things like Chicken, Lettuce, Petrol and Rates (OMG!!! RATES), it can be very easy to forget that there are disadvantaged Youth out there that still need help getting a job.

There are many reasons why young people want to work.  It builds confidence, independence, financial security and improves mental health.

Youth Unemployment in Australia is currently sitting at around 8%, with an additional 14% under-employed.  A large Australian recruitment company is trying to help.  Talent International has established a charitable foundation called Talent RISE.  RISE supports young Australians by:

? Assisting with resumes / CV
? Mentoring and coaching
? Inspiration and work readiness training

? Developing critical work ready skills
? Job and work experience opportunities
? Connecting youth to other opportunities for education and training

To help raise much needed funds for Talent RISE, The Canberra team will be walking the 20km loop around the western side of Lake Burley Griffin on Friday the 2nd of September. 

Donations are Tax Deductible and can go towards many things, such as purchasing lunch for a young person on a work placement or buying a travel pass to attend a workshop or job interview, plus much more.
