Welcome to Term 4

"Stand at the crossroads and look:

ask for the ancient paths,

ask where the good way is, and walk in it,

and you will find rest for your souls."  Jeremiah 6:16

Dear Friends,
Welcome to Term 4! It is so wonderful to be back at Holy Trinity after an incredible trip away. The time away enabled me to have some rest, adventures and opportunity to be silent and listen. I also felt an overwhelming feeling of gratitude whilst away- for my family, my friends and the community of Holy Trinity that I feel so privileged to be a part of.  I hope the school holiday break enabled you and your beautiful families to do the same.

I cannot thank you all enough for the incredible achievements of last term!  I feel very thankful especially to Katie Smith, the Executive team and staff who worked tirelessly again, for the children and families in our care.  There were so many wonderful events celebrated last term together- The Sacrament of Eucharist, walkathon, school disco, talent show, tournament of minds just to name a few!! Congratulations to the achievements of all our students last term, especially those below, who were presented with awards during Week 10.

Congratulations also to Ben Davis who celebrated his wedding in the holidays-  such a joyous occasion!  It was also wonderful to hear of the birth of Oscar Pike (James Kinder)! Congratulations!

We have begun this term without a roadmap or specified restrictions because of COVID. This of course, is very welcome news and will allow us to be able to experience  together as a community, special  term 4 events.  Please note, that COVID is always still a major consideration when  planning, and at the forefront when completing risk management plans for events and excursions.  Our school website calendar has been updated with all these events and we will continue to publish events weekly in the newsletter and SHINE editions.

Because there are no restrictions the following can now happen at school:

  • Parents can now come into the front office and sign their children in and out- they are then able to collect from classrooms
  • Parents are welcome to be volunteers in the classroom, once notified by teachers
  • Wet weather pick up will be in the hall-  all children will assemble there and parents park and pick up
  • Assemblies, prayers celebrations and school Masses can now have parents in attendance! They will no longer be live streamed.
  • School camps and excursions will happen throughout the term
  • Sanitising is still recommended
  • Children are still expected to stay at home if unwell

Speaking of school camps, next week, Year 5, their teachers, Jane Foley and myself will be enjoying camp together at Berry, from Monday- Wednesday. Year 3 and 4 will attend an excursion together at "Be Firm" in Symonston on Monday with Katie Smith, and  the 3 /4 teachers.  Year 4 will stay there for an overnight camp and Year 3 will return to school. Year 6 will attend camp in Week 6.

Please keep Jenny Groom, (Music teacher), the Caggaianos ( Alessio, Aria and Lola ) and the Shepherd families (Evelyn) in your prayers, as all have experienced a family loss recently.
Have a wonderful weekend (stay dry!) and a peace-filled week ahead with your beautiful families.
Philippa
