Welcome to Week 9!

Civilisation evolves through exploration and discovery
Our Lines of Inquiry are:
- Peoples histories shape identity
- Discoveries and explorations create change
- Function of civilisation. We have been researching an ancient civilisation of our choice and looking at how we can use factual events to tell stories about history. We wanted to know how these people lived, what made them a part of that civilisation, power and what they invented that is still used in our world today. We created draft 1 with our original ideas and went through the editing process and with teacher and peer feedback created draft 2. Once changes had been made and we were happy with our final edits we PUBLISHED.
Thank you 4 Red!
Dear Families,
Welcome to Term 3, Week 9! I know, it sounds crazy we're here already. Thinking about what to share with you this week, I couldn't help but reflect on all the additional 'non classroom' activities our wonderful Holy Trinity staff undertake, all in the name of continuous learning for our precious children.
At the recent Board meeting, we all heard about the many things our teachers and staff have been doing, including:
* preparing and presenting the First Eucharist parent information session;
* presence and support at a number of First Eucharist Presentation Masses;
* preparation for Grandparents Day;
* participation in Key Leaders' Day with a focus on Faith in Learning;
* a number of well-being programs that cater for all years;
* self-study in preparation for our IB evaluation next year;
* parent information sessions for Year 6 Exhibition;
* support for Tournament of the Minds;
* numerous lunchtime clubs;
* Kindy orientation preparation for Term 4;
* not to mention, making our children happy to go to school every day and come home with stories of fun, laughter and learnings (OK, so I added this one myself!).
It's these things that may seem small to the staff, but to families, it's what makes Holy Trinity a community we are proud and honoured to be a part of. We don't need our child to directly benefit from one of these activities in order to realise and feel the impact.
Thank you to the wonderful school leadership group, and to all the teachers and staff. What would we do without you! We appreciate you, and we are so very grateful for you.
I hope all members of our community have an opportunity to enjoy a break before next Term, and enjoy some special time with loved ones. Hold them close. Take care, and I hope to see you all soon.
