Welcome to Week 5!!

prayer_week_5.JPG

Dear Friends,

The prayer above was shared at our Seasons For Growth  celebration where we recognised with our parents of the participants, the wonderful  learning and experiences from  these sessions.  Many of the themes were around the effectiveness of sharing loss and grief and relating these experiences to the seasons.  This also aligned with our Church last week, recognising  All Saints and All Souls Day.  Please keep the Nehme family ( Indi and Zane)  and the Konidaris family (Melina and Emilio)  in your prayers, as both families  have lost a grandparent recently.

Celebrating Learning

The Celebration of Learning is an integral part of the IB PYP curriculum framework and a pathway to strengthen our partnership between home and school.  It is such a powerful opportunity for students to make their learning public and gain confidence by presenting it to an authentic audience. Through this process, students can embrace the different learner profiles to reflect on their learning by communicating what they now know and what they are inquiring into. We look for authentic ways to share learning with our families throughout the year. Last Friday we celebrated learning in Year 1 as they shared their knowledge and research through their Sharing the Planet inquiry. We also look forward to tonight’s PYP Exhibition where, at the top end of the school, our Year 6  students present an exhibition that celebrates their learning throughout their years at Holy Trinity. We look forward to sharing Exhibiton with you in next week's newsletter.  Our awards assembly held on Wednesday morning was another way we celebrate our student achievements. Our learners have many opportunities throughout the year to celebrate and share their learning and we are grateful to our families for sharing in these opportunities. We hope you enjoy the article below from Year 1. This week we also celebrated our Yearbook 2023 cover competition winners, our cover will be illustrated by Audrey Eldridge from Year 4. The Yearbook will also include our 3 runners up Albert Burnett, Justine Tran & Evelyn Bannon's illustrations throughout the Yearbook.
