Welcome to 2024. I hope that you all had a lovely break and are ready for a big and busy year full of lots of good books and exciting adventures.
Just a few things to get the year started…
- Library lessons are once a week. Please take note of your child or children’s library day and send them in with a library bag and books to return.

- The Library is open every day during the 2nd half of lunch. Please remind your children to come along as it is a great place to read, sit, draw, talk quietly or play a game.
- Each year, I look for parent volunteers to act as “Book Coverers”. If you have a spare hour or two, I will send home a bag of 10 books, per volunteer, per term. It’s not a hard job and I try to match the books to your family. If you feel up to the challenge, please email me at at Kate.mertz@cg.catholic.edu.au or send a note via your child.

On another note..
Term 1, Book Club Catalogues were sent home today.
Every order will earn resources and books for our school.
All orders need to be submitted through the Scholastic LOOP online platform or you can place your child’s order via the Scholastic website. No cash orders will be accepted.
The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to submit and pay for your order online. Your child’s order is sent directly to school and the books will be delivered to their classroom.
The LOOP app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
Please submit any orders by 19 th February (Monday, Week 4). Books will be delivered to the school and handed out to the children as they arrive.
