Project Compassion

The theme of Project Compassion 2024 is ‘For All Future Generations’ and reminds us that the good we do today impacts the lives of generations to come. It invites us to make the world a better place by working together now and finding long-term solutions to global issues.  We encourage you to put your compassion into action this Lent through prayer, fasting and almsgiving in support of Project Compassion. Each family can send coins in to put in the class Project Compassion box, receive a Project Compassion box and/or a set of envelopes for donations at mass or you can donate online via the Caritas Australia website at: www.caritas.org.au/project-compassion

Holy Trinity's new School Cross

The cross was designed and painted by Indigenous artist Wendy Rix. Wendy is a proud Yuwaalaraay woman from Nhunggabarra country.

The design of the cross incorporates many elements of the identity of Holy Trinity Primary school. Our school colours cover the cross, with the green leaves representing the beautiful green space that surrounds our school.
The three circles at the top of the cross represent the three divine Persons of the Holy Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Symbols of our school values of faith, hope and love adorn the lower half of the cross. At the centre and heart of the cross if symbology showing the gathering of our school community surrounding the church spire, representing our strong school community of faith at the heart of our identity.
The colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags wrap around the base of the cross, with symbols of Country and the word ‘acknowledge’. This reminds us to always acknowledge that the land that our school and the cross sit upon was, is, and always will be, traditional First Nations land.
Thank you to Mrs McCann for organsising this!
