Last week, the Year 5 and 6 classes each had a session with Canberra author Stephanie Owen Reeder. Stephanie is an Ambassador of the Chief Minister’s Reading Challenge for 2024. Holy Trinity was awarded a visit from her because of our fabulous efforts with the CMRC this year.

Stephanie chatted to the classes about the books she has published, and the process involved. She has published many picture books, older fiction books and nonfiction books. Stephanie particularly loves historical fiction and factual books. She is an avid researcher and explained to the classes the importance of citing sources used and the importance of cross-referencing information sources.
