Welcome to Week 9
Dear families and carers,
Todays message in the prayer above highlights the importance of building community. Our Year 6 learners have been working in Leadership initiative groups to promote positive relationships across our school. Our Year 6 Belonging group (Maya, Tristan, Mia, Aaliyah, Molly, Thirru, Amelia & Zac) came up with the idea of hosting a Talent Show. They identified the Talent Show as a way of celebrating our uniqueness and highlighted the importance of it not being a competition, but rather developing a sense of belonging and celebration of everyone and their skills, passions and talents. It was held across 3 days during lunch and recess with over 30 items presented by the talented students at Holy Trinity from Kinder to Year 6. A range of talents were on display from comedy routines, magic tricks to singing and dancing. The Belonging Group saw this as an opportunity to make connections across the school, providing a space to meet students with similar interests and talents. Their focus for the event was on wanting everyone to feel safe and welcome at school and be able to be who they are! Special thanks to Ms Winter for her support of the Talent Show and the Belonging group for their initiative.

Last Friday Year 3 Red shared their learning throughout their Where We Are In Place and Time inquiry with the central idea being "Movement has consequences". They shared stories of migration, the changes throughout Holy Trinity's history and the impact of change in our lives today. Mr Hart shared his musical talents with his learners singing with gusto and obvious enjoyment. It was wonderful to see the students presenting their learning with such confidence and pleasure. We wish Mr Hart all the best in his travels overseas next semester.
It has been lovely to see our families coming into schoool this week to celebrate their child's learning across semester one. Our learners have been sharing their learning journey, celebrating their growth across curriculum areas and setting goals for their next steps in learning in years 3-6. Our ELC- Year 2 families have enjoyed the opportunity to speak with their child's teacher and explore the learning experiences and growth. We look forward to sharing our Semester One Reports with families next Wednesday. I want to thank our wonderful teaching team for their preparation of learning conferences and reports across the past few weeks.
With one week left of term 2 I hope you all enjoy the weekend when it arrives.
