Community Council News!
Hi everyone! We're still on a high from the fete so a very big thank you to Sarah Mills for coordinating such a wonderful event, and all the family helpers! What a great day. Also a big thank you to Phil, Prue, Tom, Emily and all our lovely staff for all their hard work leading up to and on the day. The families really appreciate everything you all do.

As we prepare for the Community Council AGM next Term, I wanted to highlight that the Community Council (and other parent bodies over the years) has always had three key focus areas:
Community – looking out for each other, services eg tuckshop, uniform shop, stalls, BBQs, get togethers, fun events.
Charities – our local charity L’Arche, and Lydia our sponsor child through Global Schools Partners.
Fundraising – contribute to improvements to the school, eg kitchen garden, new building, oval redevelopment etc.
The Community Council is made up of:
Chair (Executive)
Secretary (Executive)
Treasurer (Executive)
Principal (Ex officio) - Philippa Brearley
Parish Priest (ex officio) - Fr James
Community Members (up to 8)
We also have a number of Working Groups with many helpers (uniform shop, BBQ crew, events etc). Working Group coordinators may also be Community Members of the Council if they wish.
All Executive positions are up for appointment/election at the AGM. A term of membership of the Council Executive shall be for a period of up to two years.
If anyone is interested in the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer positions, you can nominate by emailing philippa.brearley@cg.catholic.edu.au (prior to the AGM).
If you would like further information about the Community Council, please feel free to contact me, I am happy to chat (0413 319 899).
As a year 6 parent, I am coming to the end of our time here at Holy Trinity. What a beautiful place and community to be a part of. Being a part of parent bodies has been a wonderful experience. Any amount of time or effort is appreciated and never wasted, so I encourage you to get involved if you can. Not only have I been able to spend more time with my child (most of which she has enjoyed!), I have made friends, had fun, and had random children thank me for making their lunch in the Tuckshop or for organising a fun colour run. This is bigger than just an individual, this is what the Holy Trinity Community is all about.
I have really enjoyed being a part of the P&F, Board and Community Council over the years. As I step down from the Chair position, I look forward to supporting the Community Council this year, in all that you do!
