Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) in the ELC

The ELC staff met recently to review our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for the next 12 months. One area of quality improvement identified by ELC staff has been the use of ICT in the classrooms. Over the last 12 months all ELC educators and teachers have been issued an iPad to capture student learning, document and communicate with families. Four new student iPads have been purchased to support the implementation of the ELSA pilot app and as a tool for research.

Next term both preschool classrooms will have interactive panels installed to enable whole class and small group use and viewing of various apps and websites. 

We see the use of technology in the classroom as a valuable tool for learning and one of many tools students engage with. We also value family engagement in this area and hope that you can provide your thoughts and expectations around the use of ITC in the ELC. End of Term Breakfast for Before School Care

Natalie and Rachel will be hosting an end of term breakfast for our Before School Care children on Tuesday 2 July.

Stay and Play

Playgroup for pre-preschoolers and their families. Wednesday mornings from 9am-10.30am in the ELC Playground (weather permitting). Parents, grandparents, carers and children are all very welcome.
