Just a Few Messages!
Staff Changes for Semester Two
At the end of this term, we sadly farewell Brigitta for the remainder of the year. We thank her sincerely for all her work this term, especially with the preparation for the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Annmarie Thomas, Classroom Support Teacher will also be taking leave for the remainder of 2019. The following are staff changes for Semester 2:
Emily Capper will be REC full-time and Rose Lee will be teaching in Kinder on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mary-Anne Winchester will continue one day a week giving numeracy support release in Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 on Tuesdays. Stephanie Leemhuis will now take Michael Feerick’s class one day a fortnight for his Sports Coordinator release and Kate Lategui will begin working at HT in Beck Casey’s class each Thursday for ICT Coordinator release. Catherine Cusack will extend her hours in Classroom Support and continue as Office Manager every Friday fortnight.
Car park Upgrade:
During the holidays the patches in the car park will be repaired. We will then be receiving a drawing form Northrop re our new car park traffic control pan. This work will then be completed in the December/January holidays as warmer weather is needed to carry out the works. This will include resurfacing, new car-parking spaces and line marking and marked areas for crossing and pick up/drop off arrangements. A reminder again please about using the drop off zone in the mornings- cars are still parking in this area and getting out of their cars. Carpark spaces are to be used for this to stop traffic congestion and hold ups in the morning please.
School Fencing:
Suggestions of school fencing comes up intermittently, and I know was mentioned in the P and F fundraising survey. We recently had cameras installed and security signage is still to come. A lot of vandalism has actually occurred in fenced areas- Kitchen Garden and the ELC play area; thus the fencing has not deterred people from accessing these areas. A lot of families also use our outside open areas during the weekend. Because of these reasons, a school fence will not be considered in the near future. The incredible cost for this is also money that could be spent to benefit our students in far greater ways.
