Welcome Message from the Principal
Christ is risen, ALLELUIA!! The empty tomb and the neatly folded burial cloths, were signs that led the Beloved Disciple to believe that Jesus had risen from the dead. In the witness of the apostles, and the faithfulness, courage and love of our fellow Christians, we too have powerful signs that Christ is risen and lives among us. Let us feast with joy in the Lord. Alleluia!
Dear Friends
Welcome to Term 2 and the Season of Easter! During the holidays I was quite moved by an article I read in the weekend newspaper, reflecting on Easter messages from differing religious leaders in Australia. The thoughts from Sydney Catholic Archbishop, Anthony Fisher was quite thought provoking and hope filled as it reminded me that there is life and joy beyond personal pain , through the undying power of unconditional love and compassion.
" Easter is about hope, a hope that conquers even the grave. Our chocolate eggs are symbols of possibility and promise... Twelve months ago, just before Holy Week, we went into lockdown. The tomb was shut tight again, only this time with us inside. but the Easter paradox prevailed. A year later, we are free to worship together. the egg has cracked, the walls been torn down, new life emerges. We now run to the empty tomb for new life, hope, promise. We are an Easter people, we will rise again."
At the end of last term, we were able to share together Holy Week and Easter celebrations which were very respectful, reverent and prayerful. We also acknowledged our end of term award recipients:

SCHOOL WINTER UNIFORM
During Terms 2 and 3 students are expected to wear their full winter uniforms on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please click here to view our uniform policy. Students have until the end of Week 2 to transition fully into their winter uniforms.
It is fabulous to be able to once again offer tuckshop lunches and take home meals to families. Whilst the tuckshop food will be prepared offsite by a commercial service provider (Merchant's Feast), we still need volunteers to heat some of the food and organise delivery to classrooms.
It is wonderful to be able to continue this term welcoming parents and families into our school for volunteering and special occasions. Please remember that we must always use the Check in Cbr App in the foyer if you are attending events or helping. You will also need to sign in for our records on the new Kiosk sign in register. If you are signing children in or out of the school , this needs to now be done by the carer through our new Kiosk sign in register at the front office. For assemblies and larger gatherings, we will still be asking families to social distance and limiting parents to approx. 60 people at the back of the hall because of the 2 square metre rule.
Thank you so much to our families who were able to attend our parent meeting last night. I will write about the content and contributions to this evening in next week's newsletter. I look forward to commemorating ANZAC Day with our prayer celebration on the ring road at 10:40am tomorrow morning and thank in advance our Service parents who will be contributing to this special occasion.
With every best wish for a holy and peace-filled week ahead with your beautiful families. Enjoy a long weekend with this glorious autumn weather!

Raffle
Thank you to all the amazing families who sold raffle tickets to raise money for our new school building. We are delighted to announce the five lucky winners were:
- Brad Parry – (Spencer P KR)
- Liz Rodway – (Emme M 1R)
- Madeleine Battisson 3/4G
- Candice Lowe
- Alison Egan
Also, a huge congratulations to the Murrell family who won the 12-month subscription to Disney +. They sold an incredible 7 booklets!!
The P&F are still making the final calculations and will announce the grand total raised by our raffle in the next newsletter.
Mother’s Day stall
The Holy Trinity Mothers’ Day stall will be held this year on Friday 7th May. For those not familiar with the concept, we host a mini-stall and present a selection of gifts for the students to ‘buy’ – each student can choose something special to take home for their mum as a surprise.
In previous years, we asked each family to donate a gift but to make things easier for everyone, this year the P&F will procure all the gifts for the stall. We ask you to contribute $5 per child via Qkr which goes towards the cost of the gifts and a donation to the L'Archce Foundation. Every year the Mother’s Day stall donates all profits to this terrific local charity, who provide people with intellectual disabilities the support they need to lead fulfilling and empowered lives.
We understand some families in our community might be experiencing financial hardship and we want to assure those families that all children will be invited to participate in the Mother’s Day stall irrespective of payment. No child will be excluded.
If you are in a position to donate a ‘gift’ for a less fortunate family in our community, we would be thrilled - it’s as easy as making an additional contribution via Qkr.
Also, on the day we require a number of Father helpers to assist with the stall between 8.30am-11.00am.
If you can volunteer or have any questions, please call or text Mark Bauer on 0413 759 692.
Parent’s Night Out
The P&F is planning to hold a ticketed event on the 19th June exclusively for grown-ups. Please save-the-date in your diary because it is going to be a spectacular evening and a terrific opportunity to socialise with friends from the Holy Trinity Community. If anyone would like to be involved in the organising committee, please email Jenny Van de Meeberg at htpspfpresident@gmail.com.
As part of the ‘Parent’s Night Out’ we intend to host an auction and would love to create a ‘whole-of-school’ artwork to go under the hammer. If there are any creative parents who would like to be part of the team to specifically work on this project, please get in touch at htpspffundraising@gmail.com. The specific medium and design has yet to be decided so volunteers will have plenty of opportunity to express their own creativity in this task.
Tuckshop
The tuckshop reopened this week and the food is absolutely delicious!
Just a quick reminder that:
- tuck shop orders must be placed by 6pm the day before,
- take-home meals must be placed two days before,
- the tuck shop only accepts QKR orders, there are no direct sales to students (please do not send your children to school with cash),
- gluten free options are available,
- all food is prepared fresh daily (with the exception of pies, sausage rolls and quiches which are prepared the night before).
The tuckshop still needs volunteers! The tuckshop will operate Wed, Thurs, Fri every week and we need 2 volunteers to help us between 9:00-11:30 each day. If you are able to assist, please sign-up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4FAAA623ABFBC16-tuck
If you can volunteer or have any questions, please call or text Tuckshop Co-ordinator Patricia Micalos on 0400 019 226.
Uniform Shop
The uniform shop is looking for some lovely volunteers to help on Friday afternoons from 3:00pm-4:00pm. You are welcome to bring your kids with you.
If you can volunteer or have any questions, please call or text Uniform Shop Co-ordinator Cheryl Hendy on 0410 645 482.
Online School Directory
The online school directory is live and we assume everyone who wants access has it. If there is an error with the information in the Online School Directory or gremlins preventing you from accessing it, please contact us at htpsschooldirectory@gmail.com
Vacuuming Roster
The vacuuming roster is in desperate need for volunteers. We have had to cut back the vacuuming service because we do not have enough helpers. The P&F takes responsibility for the vacuuming so this cost does not get passed on through the school fees to each and every family. If you can volunteer for a Wednesday night between 6:00pm-8:00pm please get in touch. This is a great activity for those who cannot volunteer during work hours.
If you can volunteer or have any questions, please call or text Vacuuming Co-ordinator Paul Osborne on 0407519473.
P&F Meetings
The P&F meets each term on Wednesday of Week 4 and Week 8. All parents are welcome to join these meetings. If you would like to be added to the contact list for these meetings, please get in touch at htpspfpresident@gmail.com
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, then please feel free to get in touch at htpspfpresident@gmail.com

It’s been so long, we’re glad to be back!
School vacuuming is here again. After a COVID pause last year and a spluttering start this year, the vacuum roster kicks off next Wednesday.
Thank you for all those who volunteered. We have six teams rostered on a Wednesday fortnightly basis for the rest of the school year. Your team leader will be in touch when it’s close to your turn.
This is a valuable, long-running service to the school community. And a simple way for parents to make a contribution, demanding only a couple of nights each year.
The first team is as follows:
Paul Osborne
Henry Day
Justin Hassall
Carrie Kilpin
Matt Colbert
Thanks,
Paul Osborne (Vacuum Coordinator and Year 5 Dad)
