Dear Friends,

Welcome to Week 9 and our last formal newsletter for 2022!! Next week we look forward to sharing with each family our Holy Trinity ELC and School Year Book.  Even though we are approaching the end of the year,  there is still much to do and many things to celebrate!!  These celebrations include:

• Friday 9th December, last day of Water Safety program,  Holy Trinity Whole School and ELC Community Carols and Picnic, basketball courts ( children to wear Christmas colours- something christmassy!!!) Please click here for the run sheet and song book.. 

• Monday 12th December, 9:00am 2W Advent Liturgy (hall), 12pm Kinder Nativity (Church), 2:15pm Year 6 final Assembly (hall), Semester 2 Reports available on COMPASS Parent Portal 

• Tuesday 13th of December, Year 6 Fun Day, 2-3pm "One Up' afternoon where children are grouped in 2023 classes with their new teacher

• Wednesday 14th December 9:15am Week 10 Awards Assembly, 12pm Year 6 Graduation Mass and lunch

• Thursday 15th of December- Cotter Fun Day (Sports Uniform for everyone please!) , Last day of the  2022 School year for students

• Friday 16th of December- Staff Professional Learning Day and Class Lists 2023 emailed home. 

As well as many things to celebrate, the end of the year also means many farewells.  I wish all our families and staff who are leaving our school, many after a long time in our community, continued success in their new ventures!  Thank you for all the time and support you have given to our community-  you will certainly be missed, but not forgotten. 

One staff member who is leaving that I would like to especially acknowledge is our Assistant Principal, Katie Smith. Katie has been an incredible asset to Holy Trinity as AP and PYP coordinator for the last five years. Katie’s passion for learning and teaching is evident every day, as she strives to ensure academic excellence is achieved at Holy Trinity.  Katie has been a huge advocate for inquiry-based learning as PYP coordinator, and works closely with teachers and students to effectively ensure this framework is used across our school from the ELC to Year 6.  Katie has also been in our Archdiocesan Catholic education system for over 27 years and has had much experience working in both schools and in the Catholic Education office as a leader of learning. Katie will be fondly remembered for her love of learning, her passion to help both teachers and students become the best they can be and for her care and compassion for all in our HT community.  It has been an honour working with Katie and we wish her continued success in her new role as Principal of Duffy Primary School.

Today I have interviewed for our new Assistant Principal for 2023 and beyond and I will announce the successful candidate next week.  The rest of our staffing for 2023 is as follows:

ELC BSC & ASC Bookings

Due to the large number of enrolments in the ELC for Preschool Plus next year, we have very limited spaces in our BSC and ASC programs available for primary aged children. Priority will be given to current ELC children attending Kindergarten in 2023. Please contact the ELC office for an enrolment form and information book. elc.holytrinity@cg.catholic.edu.au

School Holiday Bookings
