After the season is over, the Christmas lights come down, the fragrance of pine dissipates into the air, and the Christmas music no longer plays on the radio, we may ask, ‘What happens next?’ The wonder and awe of Christmas is just a beginning. Christmas reminds us that the babe born in Bethlehem has given us purpose for living, and what happens next to us largely depends on how we embrace our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and follow Him.
Dear Friends,
Week 10 has now again, brought us many special occasions to celebrate a wonderful year of learning and being together as a community! I hope you have enjoyed reading our 2023 Year Book and watching our end of year Christmas Carol concert video- both sent home yesterday. Yesterday Year 5 also shared with our school community and their families, the Leadership Impact initiative for 2024- such an incredible presentation highlighting some great initiatives and some wonderful reflections on leadership and what this will look like for our Year 6's of 2024.
Our current Year 6 leaders celebrated together a beautiful graduation Mass on Tuesday, followed by a lovely luncheon shared together in the hall. A special thank you to Susan Williams and the Year 5 parents who organised such a delicious shared meal together, before the rest of the school community participated in "One Up afternoon". We will send home all class lists for 2024 from Year 1-6 tomorrow and our Kindergarten families will receive their lists today via email.
Yesterday we also celebrated our final Awards Assembly for 2023 and I would like to acknowledge and to congratulate the following award winners:

This week Cushla Sheehan, our ELC Director, has accepted an Assistant Director position at Girls Grammar ELC, beginning in January. Words cannot express my gratitude for all Cushla has given to our ELC and school community over the last eight years. Her passion, commitment, and pastoral care of all has ensured a warm and inclusive community-Cushla always has our students at the forefront of all she does. I sincerely congratulate Cushla on this new appointment, but also know she will be greatly missed, however her impact will never be forgotten. Thank you Cushla for everything.
I also thank and farewell all of our students and their families leaving the Holy Trinity community at the end of today. Thank you for the pivotal role you have played in the success of our school community. In the words of Pope Francis, ensure your dream big- think about what you want, what you value and what you seek- and dare to create something new.
Wishing you all a holy and happy Christmas with your beautiful families and a relaxing break together. I look forward to seeing many of you again on Wednesday 31st of January!
Warmest wishes,
Philippa and the Staff of Holy Trinity.
