Dear families and friends,
We have made it to the end of another busy term of teaching and learning. Tomorrow we say goodbye to Ms Rose Lee from the classroom support team who is moving on to pursue her teaching career in another school, we will miss her invaluable contribution to the Holy Trinity teaching team and wish her well in her next exciting chapter. We also farewell Mr Ethan Hart (3 Red) who is packing his bag and heading overseas to explore the world. We look forward to Ethan's return after he has spent all his money and tackled the world! Mr Liam Cashion will also be away for most of term 2 on a planned overseas holiday, Liam will return to us in term 3. Today we welcomed Ms Coker who will replacing Mr Hart, it was a great opportunity for Krystal to meet the learners and begin to develop relationships with the students.
Kinder Green Assembly
What a fabulous celebration of a semester of learning in Kindergarten we enjoyed at assembly last Friday. With so many scientists in one place it was hard to recognise our Kinder Green learners. They confidently shared their unit of inquiry- How the World Works, and their knowledge of different materials and their qualities. Singing an I Spy song about materials and a song about being agents of change, the audience were engaged and dancing along. With this group of learners our future is definitely in safe hands!
Interests and Pursuits
Last Friday the students in Years 2-6 enjoyed their final session of Interests and Pursuits, this wonderful initiaitive began as a seed with our Year 5 Wellbeing group last year and came to life this term. It has been exciting to see the groups develop their skills in a variety of personal interests, with groups meeting weekly to hone thier skills. Next term our students will chose a new opportunity to explore in their area of passion. A huge thank you to all the teachers involved who prepared and led the sessions.
Rostrum
This evening Romeo Cowley will represent Holy Trinity at the Rostrum Public Speaking Quarter Finals, delivering his speech on the topic 'Think Big'. We wish Romeo all the best for his presentation this evening.
Reports
Yesterday our Semester one Reports were available to view on COMPASS. These results alone don't tell the full narrative of your child's learning across Semester One. This report, together with your Learning Conference shows a clearer picture of your child's growth across the curriculum areas. At Holy Trinity we value providing ongoing feedback to our learners to support their next steps in learning. Your child will have reflected on their Term 2 goal and will be working with their teacher to set their goals for Term 3.
As we finalise our term of learning tomorrow, we thank our students and families for their ongoing support at Holy Trinity. We are grateful for the commited staff we have educating our learners. May all our families have a safe and wonderful winter break, taking time to enjoy a slower pace and valuable time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday July 23.
