Dear families and carers,
As we approach the end of week 2 there has been a lot happening in our classrooms this week. Our learners have set their final goals for 2024, the units of inquiry are continuing across the year levels and our year 6 students are engaged in their inqiroes and preparation for Exhibition. This week our Year 4 students have been preparing and presenting debates in class and it has been wonderful to see the collaboration and confidence of these learners.
World Teachers' Day
Tomorrow we celebrate our fabulous teachers at Holy Trinity. On this special occasion of World Teachers' Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible teaching staff and professional staff at Holy Trinity. Their dedication, passion, and unwavering support shape the minds and futures of our students every day. Thank you for inspiring curiosity, fostering creativity, and nurturing a love for learning. We appreciate all that you do and are grateful for the positive impact you have on our community. Happy World Teachers' Day!
Daniel Morcombe Day
On Friday this week children are encouraged to wear a touch of red with their PE uniform (socks, hair ribbons etc.) No donation required. Throughout this week, children will participate in learning experiences aimed at building child safety awareness, both in physical environments and online. Day for Daniel will provide an invaluable opportunity for our children to learn about the significance of child safety. It is a reminder that education and awareness can help protect our children and create a safer community for all. We encourage you to engage with your children in conversations about their safety network, respectful relationships and reinforce our message that everyone has a right to feel safe all the time.
Please see the great resource below on Protecting Your Kids Personal Safety.

The cost is $20 and your child will receive a headband, glasses, sausage sizzle and ice block. All payments will be made through QKR.

2025 Classes
Over the next few weeks we will working with teachers to create classes for 2025. When considering class compositions there are many factors to take into account. As a PYP school, collaboration is an essential component of your child's learning, and although students are placed in a class with a specific teacher, there are many opportunities throughout the week, where classes are mixed or opened for differing groupings, based on the learning tasks. If a parent has a particular concern regarding the placement of their child/ren in classes, this should be written in an email to me by Friday Week 3, 1st November, and this concern will be considered seriously. However, there are no definite guarantees regarding parent requests as there is much to consider when creating classes. Please note, teacher requests are not to be included in these emails and previous requests from other years will need to be sent again if they still stand for the 2025 year.

Can I please remind our families that the disabled carparks in the ring road need to left clear for those who need them. We have had a number of times recently when these car spaces have not been available for families that require them. Also, a reminder that we do not park in the drive through to collect children in the morning and afternoons and to be patient and kind in the car park.
Take care,
