Dear Parents and Carers,
This coming Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent, the Advent season is a time for prayerful reflection and anticipation as we prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus. It's an opportunity to delve into the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. As we await the ultimate gift of Jesus, let us embrace moments of quiet reflection, deepen our faith, and share acts of kindness. May this Advent inspire us to grow closer to God and each other in preparation for the celebration of Christmas.
Year 6 Exhibition
This evening we are holding our Year 6 PYP Exhibition, a celebration of our Year 6 learners' growth. Over the past eight weeks, our learners have embraced the Transdisciplinary Theme, How We Express Ourselves, demonstrating their deepening understanding of influence and its potential to create meaningful change in our world.
The Exhibition is the culmination of years of inquiry and reflection at a PYP school, showcasing the skills, knowledge, and attributes our learners have developed throughout their Primary Years Programme journey. The Central Idea, "Understanding Ourselves can Empower us to Influence," underpined this event and reflects Holy Trinity's commitment to developing confident, knowledge learners.
Through their journey of self-discovery, our learners have uncovered not just what shapes them, but how they can use their own abilities to create a better future. They have reflected on the forces that influence their perspectives, challenged assumptions, and emerged with renewed purpose. Their inquiries ranged from Arts to Environment, Wellbeing to Innovation, and Equality to Relationships—each investigation representing a meaningful commitment to addressing real-world challenges. We will experience tonight how 41 unique voices have chosen to inspire change. In their Opening Performance, these powerful investigations will come alive through movement, words, and artworks, blending together to showcase their deepest insights and aspirations. A special thanks to our Year 6 teachers, Tom, Maddy & Jamie, Jenny Groom and Jan Simpson for their expertise in guiding the learners and to our teachers who mentored and inspired this wonderful group of students. We wish them all the best in their Exhibition tonight and tomorrow.

2025 Fete
Our Fete preparations for March 2025 are well underway. We will be celebrating the diversity in our communinty at the Multi Cultural Fete and invite members of the community to let us know how we can represent their cultures. This may be through a food/drink stall, entertainment such as dancing or singing or through the arts. Please contact us to let us know your ideas or a group we can invite to the event.
We are also calling for stall coordinators, these parents will lead the organisation of a particular stall but will be ably assisted by classes or year groups, teachers and the Fete Committee. As a stall coordinator this is a great opportunity to connect with your child's class/year group.
We are reaching out to businesses who are able to provide sponsorship or prizes for the raffle and chocolate wheel.
If you are keen to get involved, have any ideas or contacts please reach out prue.sheargold@cg.catholic.edu.au
It was exciting to welcome our New ELC and Kinder families to our community at drinks last night in the school library. We welcome these families and know their children are in wonderful hands! Best wishes and congratulations to our Year 6 learners and families for The Exhbition tonight.
