Thank you to all our parent and carers who attended our Community Council AGM on Tuesday night and our School Athletics Carnival yesterday! We will have more details about these events in our Newsletter next week!
Cool Kids and Cool Little Kids
Holy Trinity will be running the “Cool Kids” support program again for students from Year 3 - Year 6. The Cool Kids Program is a world renowned cognitive behavioural therapy program developed to teach children and parents skills that address anxiety.
The program helps children to recognise emotions such as fear, stress and anxiety. It helps them to challenge beliefs associated with feeling nervous, and encourages them to gradually engage in fearful activities in more positive ways. There is an additional component for parents that informs them of these principles and also teaches alternate ways of interacting with your child.
The program will run for 8 weeks (1-hour session per week) and will take place during school time. There will be around 6-8 students in a group.
We also will have the
"Cool Little Kids" for
parents and caregivers of students in the ELC - Year 2.
The Cool Little Kids program is an early intervention program targeted at caregivers of three to six year old children who exhibit excessive shyness, separation anxiety and lack of confidence.
The program equips caregivers with both knowledge and practical skills for how to help their child manage and overcome anxiety.
If you think your child would benefit from these programs or for more information, please email emily.capper@cg.catholic.edu.au by TOMORROW Friday 23 May.
We have also asked teachers to nominate students in their class, who they think would benefit from the program. We will be starting in week 6 of this term.
