Next week Holy Trinity will be recognising Reconciliation week by starting the day with the Aboriginal Our Father sung by Mrs Brearley. It will then be followed with 5/6 Red students reading reflective prayers that celebrate our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and the ongoing contributions they make to Australian society. Classes will participate in activities including Aboriginal Story time, arts and crafts including dot painting, decorating stones, creating totems. They will look into the Ngunnawal language and play traditional sports from the Yulunga Games.
5/6 are currently looking at weather events and how they happen. Next week they will inquire into the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural stories that provide evidence of geological events happening.
