Library News
Welcome to Week 7,
For the past three weeks the Year 4 classes have been unpacking their UOI – How We Express Ourlselves. The children were divided up into groups of three and given a popular children’s picture book to work with. Their task was to read the book, research the author and main charcter, then use their creativity and acting skills to create an interview situation. Six questions were to be asked in total with a three minute time frame.
Each group had three roles to dramatise – the interviewer, to tie it all together and ask relevant questions, the main character from the book and the author of the book. The main character and author had to answer questions focusing on clear and thoughtful answers, entertainment, eye contact and voice projection.
The final result was impressive, costumes brilliant and some kids are absolute naturals at acting. We laughed, giggled, loved watching our peers, revisited poular childrens’s literature and most importantly had big fun.

Last but not least…
Don’t forget that all Holy Trinity Library books are due back by the end of week – if you see a barcode send it back.

2. Type out the name of the book to find an image as a prompt.
3. Send your child into the library to look on the shelves or in their classroom. 4. Send me email and I will check the shelves – kate.mertz@cg.catholic.edu.au
