Congratulations Mrs B-W
Last week I was recognised as a Highly Accomplished Teacher at an award ceremony held at St Christopher’s Cathedral. This award recognised the two-year journey I have taken to analyse my teaching practice and be acknowledged for the many hours of work I put in as a dedicated and passionate classroom teacher. Over the last two years, I have submitted portfolios with annotated evidence that have addressed the Australian Professional Standards for Highly Accomplished Teachers. Principals and teaching colleagues have observed my teaching practice within the classroom and referees have been required to submit evaluative comments about my different roles and the impact these roles have had within the school. The Certification of Highly Accomplished Teachers is an important aspect of teacher quality that helps to develop, recognise and support excellent teachers within Australia. Throughout my years of teaching, I am grateful to have worked with many wonderful and supportive colleagues who have helped make this award possible.
