First Eucharist Retreat Day
The Parish of the Transfiguration First Eucharist Candidates and their class mates came together last Thursday at Holy Trinity to participate in their retreat day before celebrating the Sacrament on the weekend. The candidates celebrated mass with Holy Trinity parishioners, acted out role plays, experienced a Lectio Divina Prayer, created artwork and discussed the meaning and significance of the Sacrament of First Eucharist.
Thank you to the Year 3/4 teachers and all their hard work and guidance in preparing the students for this Sacrament. A big thank you to all the Year 4 non-candidates who have supported their class mates throughout this journey.
First Eucharist
Congratulations to the students who on the weekend received the Sacrament of First Eucharist. We pray that in receiving the Body and Blood of Christ, they are brought into a deeper relationship with God. We continue to keep them in our prayers.
A special thank you to all the parents, staff, families and parish who supported the children through this Sacrament; and to Monsignor John Woods.

What a CRAZY day Friday was! Thank you for all the crazy hair styles and socks that were on show. We raised 425.10 bringing our total to $1540.60!!
Next week we have the ELC and Kinder teams leading us in the coin heart. There will be a prize for the class who has, the biggest heart and the most expensive heart! We will gather on the basketball courts next Friday morning to create our hearts.
Our last GSP fundraiser for the term will be during Week 10. The staff along with our Christian Outreach team will be holding a ‘Guess how many lolly jar” stall. Students will be able to bring in a gold donation per guess from Monday Week 10. The results will be drawn on Friday Week 10.
Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in the Parish of the Transfiguration, North Woden on Tuesday 17 September 2019. Registration is now open for Confirmation. Students in Year 6 who have made their First Eucharist and Reconcilation are invited to register.
To enrol your child, please access or download the Qkr! App.
- Search ‘North Woden Transfiguration’.
- You will then create a profile. One your profile is completed you can click into Parish (2nd collection, Sacraments) and follow through to Confirmation.

Transfiguration Youth Group
This Saturday at 4:30pm, Sarah Pearson our Youth Minister will be holding the second Transfiguration Youth Group (TYG). Students from Year 4, 5 and 6 are welcome to come along to celebrate and share in their faith.
