Dear Lord, I believe in the presence of Your Body and Blood in the Eucharistic celebration of the Last Supper. Since I have not been able to receive You Sacramentally, I embrace You Spiritually into my heart. Never permit me to be separated from you. My Lord and my God. Amen.
Dear Friends,
This weekend we are finally given the the opportunity to attend Mass after many months of On-line Mass participation. As the 100 people restriction applies from Saturday, you will need to book to attend a particular Mass as explained by Fr John below:
I am pleased to notify you that we will recommence the celebration of our weekend Masses this weekend, 20 – 21 June, that is, the 6pm Saturday Vigil Mass, the 9.30am Sunday Mass and the 5.30pm Sunday Mass with congregations capped at 100. However because of the physical distancing requirements, the 9.30am Sunday Mass celebrated at Ss Peter and Paul, Garran will for now be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Curtin.
There are two ways to register your intention to attend one of the three weekend Masses:
- Go to https://www.trybooking.com/BKACO and follow the prompts to register. NB: If the available seats are taken, you will need to consider another Mass.
OR
- Contact the Parish Office (6281 3999) 9.15am – 3pm Mon, Wed or Fri to register. NB If the available seats are taken, you will need to consider another Mass.
Liturgical Rosters
If you are attending a Mass this weekend, the Third Sunday of the month and can fulfil your rostered ministry please confirm your presence to myself in the sacristy before Mass. As has been our practice, this weekend’s bulletin (which will be emailed out on Friday) will have the rosters for next weekend.
Government Requirement
On entering the church – be it for a Mass or private prayer – you MUST print your name, phone, mobile or email, and times of entry and departure. Of course, allow extra time to ‘sign in’ before Mass. Entry is ONLY via the front door. Please use the hand sanitiser provided.
Note:
Weekday Masses and the Wednesday Liturgy of the Word and Communion Service have recommenced – 9.30am Mon, 9.30am Tues, 9.30am Wed Lit of the Word and Comm Service, 5.30pm Thurs and 9.30am Fri.

Listening, Learning, Reflecting, Growing
It is with uncertainly that over the past month we have started to move forward, go back to work, back at school, back to Church, back to "elbows out" at the grocery store! Uncertainties like when will the next case of COVID hit, when will restrictions ease further and more numbers be allowed to celebrate Mass, and even when will I be able to hear someone cough or sneeze and not immediately want to run! But through all our uncertainties, there is always a constant comfort, a constant presence and a constant reassurance, that the Lord Jesus Christ is with us, loves us and wants to carry our burdens. I have spent much time over the last month considering what have been the positive outcomes from COVID-19, what forced changes would I now keep in my life and what have I learnt about myself throughout these times.
This week has given you as parents, and your children as learners, opportunity through interviews and conferences with teachers, time to reflect on your observations about your child as a learner (and perhaps your role as the first educators of your children). I would now like to also give you opportunity to reflect and feed back to us about how you think at a school level we managed the COVID-19 environment, particularly during the Remote Learning phase. You are invited to complete 4 questions and add any other comments in the link below. We will use this information to further develop strategies in our Annual Improvement Plan for Term 3, 4 and beyond. This survey will close next Wednesday, and I thank you in advance for your honesty and willingness to complete this.
Click here to access the survey.
May your burdens and your feet be a little lighter this week, take care of yourself and others, and thank you for your constant support of our community.
