Future of Education Ideas Summit
On Friday we had the opportunity to attend the Future of Education Ideas Summit. Sharing a table with school principals and other delegates from the ACT government we talked about what education is like now, and came up with big picture ideas for what the future of Education could look like. A highlight of the day was the Welcome to Country by Celina Walker who inspired us with a story reinforcing the importance of acceptance. Having the opportunity to speak on behalf of primary students was a huge responsibility and we felt privileged to attend.

Opening Message from Assistant Principal
Canberra promises to deliver a beautiful summer day as our community congregates to enjoy all the fun of the 2018 Holy Trinity Fete on Saturday.
Activities will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The day will see more than 40 stalls including hot food, cakes, salads, fairy floss, sweets, trash and treasure, plants, high quality pre-loved books plus much more. There will be entertainment for all ages with a patting zoo, carnival rides, and free entertainment by the Holy Trinity Choir.
I encourage you to invite your family, friends, and neighbours to join us on what will no doubt be a fabulous day.
I would like to say a big thank you to LIsa B for an outstanding job in coordinating the Fete this year on behalf of the Parents & Friends Association. Lisa has been ably supported by many people. Thank you to each stall holder for taking on these roles and for their dedicated work. Thank you to volunteers that have worked tirelessly in the lead up to our fete. Thank you to all of our sponsors who generously donated in some form for the Fete. Your contributions offset many expenses at the Fete.
I'm sure I am not the only one, eagerly crossing my fingers and toes in anticipation of the raffle draw. GOOD LUCK.
Finally, what an absolute privilege it is to be a part of this amazing Holy Trinity Community. How blessed we are.
See you on Saturday.

On Monday morning the 3/4 students travelled to Cooba Sport and Education Centre for 2 nights and 3 days. The children participated in seven different activities that involved teamwork, problem solving and resilience. The activities challenged them and they conquered things they could not even imagine. Their manners and behaviour were superb and they all came back very exhausted. A huge thank you to all the teachers who left their own families and became the students' family for the three days- a huge commitment that is very much appreciated!

Lower:
Mrs Swan is hanging out her towels to dry. She puts two pegs on each towel. How many pegs does she need to hold 4 towels? Mrs Swan sees that her peg box is running low. She puts one peg on the corner of two towels. This way she only needs 3 pegs for 2 towels. How many pegs does she need for 4 towels now?
Middle:
Mrs Casey and Mrs Small are playing a game on a number-line. Mrs Casey can jump three numbers at a time and Mrs Small can only jump two. Mrs Casey starts at 1 and Mrs Small starts at 30. If they both jump together, who gets to 100 first and how long do they have to wait for the other one?
Upper:
Tia and Tom are twins. Tia saves and Tom spends. Tom finds a $20 note on Sunday evening and spends $2 a day starting on Monday. Coincidentally, Tia starts work on Monday and gets $2.50 a day. How long will it be before Tia has more money than Tom?
