Dear families and carers,
Last week our I was fortunate to join Catholic leaders across the Archdiocese for Catholic Leaders Day. Archbishop Prowse reminded us of the importance of walking together synodally journeying side-by-side as a faith community with open hearts, listening ears and shared purpose. That message etched itself further into our hearts during the annual Marian Procession in Goulburn last Sunday. With hundreds of pilgrims of all ages and cultural backgrounds, the procession began at St Saviour’s Cathedral, Goulburn, made its way along Bourke Street, and finished in pilgrimage with a Mass at Sts Peter & Paul’s Old Cathedral (Pictured below). The procession symbolising movement, faith-filled action and community and represents one way we can all walk together.
Grandparents Day
It was a wonderful celebration for our grandparents & grandfriends last Friday at Holy Trinity, with beautiful weather, a special Prayer Liturgy and delicious scones it was the perfect end to the week.
Bike security
We sadly had a bike go missing during the day from school. Please ensure if your child rides to school they have a lock to keep their bike securely locked throughout the day.

Children’s Family Mass & Parish BBQ
We warmly invite you and your family to join us for our Children’s Family Mass on Saturday, 23rd November at 5:30pm
This special celebration welcomes all families in our school and parish community — especially those whose children have received Sacraments this year. Together, we’ll give thanks for the many blessings we’ve shared and the ways our children continue to grow in faith.
After Mass, stay and enjoy a family BBQ in the parish grounds! It’s a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share a meal, and celebrate the spirit of our community.
Bring your smiles, your families, and your enthusiasm, everyone is welcome!
We can’t wait to see you there!
Our Defence families are warmly invited to join us for our Remembrance Day Prayer Commemoration on Monday, 11 November. The service will be led by Year 5 and held on the front ring road, gathering at 10:30am for a 10:40am start.
Update to Global School Partners
Holy Trinity would like to assure you that all funds previously provided to our sponsor school have always been managed appropriately and with integrity. However, due to the recent and immediate cessation of the partnership, the funds raised this year will now be allocated to Catholic Missions and St Vincent de Paul.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this decision, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email. Holy Trinity is committed to maintaining transparency in all our fundraising efforts, and we sincerely thank you for your generous support of GSP over the past eight years.

Children's Week
Our ELC proudly celebrated Children’s Week, joining families and learning communities across Australia in honouring the rights, talents and voices of children. This year’s theme, drawn from Article 42 of the UN Rights of the Child, was “Everyone should know about Children’s Rights.”
This year’s Children’s Week theme, is a wonderful reminder of the importance of honouring the rights of every child every day. All children have the right to education and play, and at Holy Trinity ELC we hold our responsibilities in high regard. We believe that children learn best through a strong intersection between education and play. In these moments, children are seen as capable, curious contributors who can make choices, take risks and experience a true sense of agency. We also value the importance of children feeling a sense of joy, connection and challenge as they explore and imagine; developing the confidence and problem-solving skills that help them thrive.
Throughout the week, our children listened to stories that celebrated fairness, kindness and the importance of being heard. These moments sparked thoughtful conversations and deepened their understanding of personal rights. One of the favourite books was I am Me, writted by Aunty Sharron mirii Bell and Children's Rights Queansland.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to nurturing a space where every child feels safe, valued, and free to grow. Children’s Week may have ended, but the spirit of advocacy and celebration continues every day at Holy Trinity ELC.
Celebrating Children's Week: Slow Afternoon
We look forward to welcoming ELC families for our Slow Afternoon next Wednesday. It will be an opportunity for families to experience our values in action, alongside thier child. During the afternoon, children and families will be able to enjoy uninterrupted, playful time with each other in a supported space. Together, we will explore, imagine and create using our new collection of loose parts (which has been generously supported by the Holy Trinity Community Council) - materials designed to inspire curiosity, problem-solving and joyful connection.
We thank the ACT Children’s Week Committee for their contribution and financial support of our Children’s Week event.
